Greg Smith is the beekeeper for Smith's Rustic Ranch, LLC. He raises honeybees locally and produces local raw honey. This honey is mostly alfalfa/apple honey. However, honeybees will travel up to 5 miles to gather pollen from different flowers, trees, and weeds. In the fall the honey will taste stronger versus the Spring. This depends on the type of growth available for the honeybee to collect the pollen and nectar.
